J&A Exterior was founded in 2019 by Jacob Vanvliet. Growing up in a family of contractors, Jacob has always had a tool in his hand. Working with his dad and uncles as early as 10 years old hanging drywall, building decks, tiling bathrooms and providing many other services he always loved to help and make some extra money.

At an early age Jacob showed great interest in entrepreneurship and starting his own business.

In 2019 Jacob had the idea to offer Christmas light installation, after dealing with the mess it was for him and his Dad to do, he saw the benefits this would bring to many of his neighbors. Things quickly picked up and we installed lights to over 20 homes in the first year of business. Many  of J&A’s customers had asked us to clean out the gutters while on the ladders, Jacob loved working with the gutters and saw the opportunity to grow the company by offering gutter services year round.
